My setting

The other day my teacher of English III asked us to write the setting about the book that would narrate our lives or an important aspect. I could say that moment touched my heart very deep, now I wanna share the creation after a feedback that one of my classmates gave me:

Anthropology, Education and Art.

Freedom, that’s what I found two years ago when I decided to create some of the weirdest combinations, but, at the same time, in her nature was beautiful. When that happened, everything was so bright after a long time immersed in darkness, loneliness and conflicts. Especially with my parents, because I didn’t know what to do with my life. However, I was able to do something special on my own in this messy urban city which once felt as vain as my soul. How can I explain the emotions that captured me that day? I’ll try in these lines: I sensed in my veins how the adrenaline ran that I couldn’t hold my wishes to start this crazy adventure named anthropology, education and art.

That day of 2018, for the first time the sun of Cali felt like a hug and the clouds were like a fluffy so lovey. That moment was so crucial to me because I found the purpose of my life. Those were innocent impressions that came along with a promise towards my weakest version:

«I’m going to this, no matter what, for us»

A very old man with enormous wings

Hello, now we have a story written by Gabriel García Marquez, if you can give me some feedback I’ll apreciatte:

García Marquez this time tells us the story of Pelayo and Elisea, a marriage couple who found in their courtyard a very old man. At first, Pelayo thought that he was a homeless, however, when he gets closer to the old man he notice that he has wings. Eventually, get their neighbor woman, who informs them that the old man is an angel. They put him in the chicken coop, and during night their child’s, who was deeply sick, started to fells better. After that, they decide to let him go, but when they return to the courtyard at dawn the entire community has arrived to see the angel.

Father Gonzaga, a religous man after saw the angel tells to everyone that the old man is just a fraud, possible work of the devil. Meanwhile, the news of the angel spreads, and the courtyard soon resembles a marketplace. Elisenda then has the idea of charging a 5 cent admission fee for seeing the angel, and then they are soon rich. Nevertheless, when a carnival arrives to the town with a interesting atracction, Spider-woman, all the crowd leaves the angel for the spider. Leaving Pelayo’s courtyard deserted.

The years pass, Elisenda and Pleayo aren’t longer fear of the angel who becomes a part of their life. After a while the chicken coop breaks, and they allow him to move around their house, although it causes Elisenda much distress. He gets increasingly frail and sickly, and they fear that he will die. Nuclear courage

Our teacher asked us to write a moment of our life that was related to the book we read for that class Nuclear courage, there is

I could say that feeling a disaster that is far away but so close at the same time is a debasing moment. I didn’t lose any close relatives in a tragic accident or I wasn’t in a war zone, I just watched as a forest was destroyed by a fire a few miles away. I could felt how my soul broke down when I saw the flames dethroned the trees and the birds flying as far away as possible. I felt so much pain watching that beacuse I consider every ecosystem as a part of myself, for that reason when any nature corp suffer it’s like if I was damaged. This is not nothing like Sumiteru lived in the story, however, is the closest experience in which I can relate it to the book.

Summary 2

Me again, this summary it’s about a tiny book named «Dreams of freedom», was created by me and Valentina again ❤

Castillo, D in her book “Dreams of freedom” tell us the story of a young Jew girl named Emma, who lived in the middle of the world war II, in Germany with her mom. She used to dream with get back to her childhood city, Jerusalem, were she had been really happy. To do not forget that happiness, Emma had a photo album of that city that she was always carrying with her. However, one day that she was going to the school, she was captured and taken to the concentration camps. There she met her best friend, Annette, a curvy pretty redhead who was two years younger than Emma. Also his lover Oswald, a police man with a lanky appearance. With them, she planned an escaping plan to be free and able to see her mom again. When they were almost finishing they escape Emma realized that she forgot her photo album, so she decided go and get it. But, she was surprised by a soldier and he decided to show the other prisoners what happens if they didn’t follow the rules. For that reason, he killed Emma in front of the whole camp.

Summary

Hello, this beautiful summary was another exercise for English III, but the difference with the other exercises it’s that I created this paragraph in the company of my classmate Valentina:

Summary #1 «Learning how to read and write» Kurland, D (2000).

Kurland, D in his article «Learning how to read and write» defends that if we want to be a good writers we must be good readers. For that, he says that both (readers and writers) need to know how to use the language to create an extanded discussion. Secondly, the author argues that we need to read good essays that will improve our writing skills in the same time that we improve our language skills. Finally, Kurland concludes that the combination of those competencies results in a more succesful approach to reading and writing.

Derby writing

This is the result of a weird experiment that I did in my English class, a derby writing which consist of writitng anything, literally whatever comes to your mind, in four minutes. I think was kinda messy because I’m not pretty good at this but there here is:

I don’t know exactly what to write about, so I’m going to say random things until to have a nice a idea which doubt it’s going to come to me. So, here we go I’m smelling my perfume, very sweet actually wait a minute I have an idea, let’s tal about my holidays.

It was one of the best holidays that I ever had, because I rested a lot, I went to the Calima Lake with my boyfriend and I enjoyed a lot with my friends. Actually, this holiday was the happiest birthday in my life, my family respected my thoughts about what to do that day, all my firends were in the country and my boyfriend was pretty special. I could dedicated a whole book for him, however I won’t.

I’m going to write about… my pencil, I’m smelling so I infeer that is a good idea. Something interesting about my pen is that it is used especially for drawing and I’m here desecrating my poor pencil for writting.

My Vignette:

Here is another crazy exercise in which I had to write in 8 minutes a really detailed scene of my life, or in fancy words a VIGNETTE:

It was February 15, 2011, I was in the cold hospital room with all my family waiting for a beautiful sound. One of my aunts was hugging me, because my nerves were on top, I was just looking at the white floor while I was thinking about everything that was coming. In one corner the digital clock marked 11:58 and my father entered the room, he looked at me and smiled. I knew it, was the moment. Everybody started to jumping and screaming, I was still in shock; I couldn’t believe it, my tears were pouring out, my father led me out of the room, separating me from my aunt as he whispered, “you’ll be the best big sister in the world. Oh lord…
